HTH someone out there hung up on steam-link on Samsung TVs. This works fine for one PC, an Intel CPU, win10, Nvidia GPU (1050ti), on the other PC that wasn't Nvidia but using the built-in GPU in an intel 6600k, I had to untick everything in remote play -> advanced host options in steam to see the mouse pointer at all. Now link up and the mouse pointer will show in everything. now goto steam-link on your Samsung tv -> add your PC and put the codes in and pair in steam.

If the pc didn't have steam on in the first place, reboot the pc and run steam again in desktop mode.ħ. Perhaps restart steam and check the settings are the same as above in big picture mode *and* in desktop mode (!)Ħ. go back to steam settings in desktop mode -> remote play -> allow direct connection (IP sharing) -> DISABLEDĬlient options streaming to this computer -> Beautifulĥ. Limit bandwidth to -> 50MBit/s (if using dual 5GHz wifi)Ĥ. go back to steam settings -> ADVANCED CLIENT OPTIONS: (leave Number of software encoding threads on automatic)ģ. With steam in desktop mode, go to SETTINGS -> REMOTE PLAY -> ADVANCED HOST OPTIONS, then untick everything, except. In mouse properties in win10, under the pointer options tab, TICK DISPLAY POINTER TRAILS -> ON and set to short, (needs to be set to display the mouse pointer at all.)Ģ. There are a few steps STEPS 1 AND 2 ARE THE IMPORTANT ONES.!) THE OTHERS ARE TWEAKS SPECIFIC TO MY WIFI/SETUP:ġ. I stumbled on a fix for this whilst trying to use steam-link on a Samsung the frame tv 32" 2020.

I am hoping for a resolution, I was really excited to try the steam link app on my TV and I can't get it to work for some of my favorite games.Īny help is appreciated, here are my system details: I'm unsure why there is a discrepancy between these titles.įor the time being I have turned on Mouse Trails for desktop use, but this doesn't fix the problems in the games I listed. Strangely I am able to see the cursor in the games Stardew Valley and DOOM Eternal. I am also missing my cursor in games like Halo: Master Chief Collection, Risk, and Sid Meire's Civilization VI. These solutions have not worked and I am still missing my cursor on the desktop. I attempted using Mouse Keys as an alternative I have an extra mouse and keyboard plugged into the host computer I have made sure my scaling is at the recommended 100% I have made sure the displays are running at the same resolution My devices connect fine, the steam link app streams fine, but I am missing my mouse cursor on desktop and specific games. I have been troubleshooting this issue over the weekend and I'm not getting anywhere.
